Immigration

Immigration

All Asian Americans have immigration histories. Whether we came as refugees, adoptees, international students, workers, spouses, or asylees, immigration impacts us. Given the current anti-immigrant/refugee rhetoric and rapidly changing rules about immigration, we’ve increased our work to build a path forward on safe and welcoming communities.

Our initiative for Safe and Welcoming Communities aims to create deep and authentic engagement with impacted Asian immigrant and refugee Minnesotans to uplift their leadership in setting priorities, generating solutions, and implementing approaches to addressing the inequities rooted in how systems and service providers have excluded Asian Minnesotans.
