LinkingLeadership Partnership

LinkingLeaders Partnership

LinkingLeaders Partnership strengthens solidarity for racial justice and equity through cross-racial, cross-cultural partnership that brings together four networks of leaders in the Indigenous, Black, Asian, and Latinx communities.

Together,
African American Leadership Forum (AALF), Coalition of Asian American Leaders (CAAL), LatinoLEAD and the Tiwahe Foundation – network organizations dedicated to enhancing leadership and amplifying the voices of their communities – work to increase our collective power to achieve systems change. Our approach is through the practice of solidarity with a lens of leadership development, movement building, and network weaving.

Our four networks reach at least 5,500 BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) leaders who span across our diverse communities. Network members represent a variety of industries and sectors in the Twin Cities metro area as well as in rural and tribal communities statewide.

Solidarity is US

Hear from our leaders why solidarity is the foundation of our work:

Our Shared Strategies

Deepen understanding of interconnected and divergent histories of the peoples making up the four networks.

Build, grow and strengthen relationships across network board, staff and members.

Share resources between and among the organizations to advance shared goals.

Truth in History Project

Sharing Our History. Our Contributions. Our Challenges. Our Triumphs. Our Resiliency in Our Voice. Through the art of storytelling, the Truth In History Project will explore the interconnected and divergent histories of LinkingLeaders four partner organizations. This living artifact will be held in community and accessed on-demand through video and audio streaming from your mobile device by QR code technology. Check back for more details on the development of this project.

Linking Leaders Converge

“LinkingLeaders Converge” events explore topics of anti-racism, intersectional justice, and misinformation within partner communities. This gathering of network members, staff and Board is an opportunity for us to learn more about the challenges faced by each partner organization, discuss cross-cultural approaches to address common community needs, and learn approaches to foster a practice of solidarity across our cultures. 2022 event dates coming soon.

Community of Practice (CoP)

The LinkingLeaders Community of Practice is a space for partner organizations to share resources and knowledge among staff facilitating the development of BIPOC leaders. Operating under the assumption that cross-cultural intervention is required to dismantle and reshape systems of oppression, this peer community works to build leaders and their practice of working in solidarity for racial justice.
