About CAAL Ignite
CAAL Ignite is the Coalition of Asian American Leaders’ signature grant program, powered by visionary supporters like McKenzie Scott. With over $350,000 committed for 2024–25, we’re investing in bold ideas that combat anti-Asian hate, strengthen economic power, and cultivate the next generation of community leaders.

What we fund
We believe every vision deserves a chance. CAAL Ignite will award 20 grants across three categories:
For entrepreneurs launching or expanding ventures that strengthen Asian American economic vitality.
For organizations scaling existing programs or piloting new services that address community priorities.
For changemakers—from emerging leaders to student fellows—pursuing projects, research, or experiences that uplift our community.

Everything you need to know to apply
As you chart your application timeline, plan to gather these materials early so you can submit a complete, competitive proposal:
A concise summary of your initiative—its goals, target audience, and community impact.
An itemized breakdown of how you’ll use the grant funds alongside any in-kind or matching resources.
Past year’s financial statements or audited reports for businesses and nonprofits to demonstrate viability.
A one-page endorsement from a community partner, mentor, or board member who can speak to your project’s promise.
