Q: Who can be nominated?
A: CelebrAsian is an intentional space to uplift the accomplishments and contributions of Asian Minnesotan leaders. Nominees must identify as Asian, Asian American, or Pacific Islander and reside in Minnesota.

Q: Who does CAAL consider a leader?
A: At CAAL, we believe that leaders are individuals who are curious and constantly listening and learning; they help others succeed; they are solutions oriented and actively contribute to problem solving; and they discover and share . To us, leadership is an act, and it is not positional or limited to an age or a sector.

Q: What is the nomination process?
A: Nominations must be completed using the online form. Contact information must be provided for the nominator and nominee. There are a series of short answers that the nominator must complete. After the deadline, a review committee will look at all the nominations and select up to 5 leaders to celebrate each round.

Q: How many will be selected?
A: We will select up to 5 leaders to celebrate at our first CelebrAsian event in late June 2020, and again for our second CelebrAsian event in October 2020.

Q: How will the selected person be celebrated?
A: If selected, leaders will receive a gift certificate that they can use for themselves or their community. They will also have a special feature on our website, newsletter, and social media platforms to honor their work. Lastly, they will be part of our CelebrAsian event.

Q: When is the deadline?
A: Nominations will be accepted in two rounds. The first deadline is Friday, May 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM CT. The second deadline is Monday, August 31, 2020 at 5:00 PM CT.
