Connecting with State Agencies
On Friday June 23, 2017, we met with the senior leadership of the following four state agencies: Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), Department of Human Rights (MDHR), Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and Minnesota Department of Education (MDE).
State Government Agencies are in the executive branch of our state government. They are responsible for utilizing the resources of our state to meet the needs of the people of Minnesota, and to ensure our state is vibrant and sustainable for every Minnesotan. State agencies are responsible for anything from business and jobs to services that protect children to educating all our children.
Almost every facet of our lives are impacted by what government agencies do. That’s why we want to more intentionally connect our communities to State Government Agencies that design, deliver and decide on how resources will be distributed to support communities.
