CAAL’s 2022 Leadership Summit: Creating Community Constellations will convene Asian Minnesotans across sectors, generations, regions and communities to connect, learn and act together. Leaders from around the state will have opportunities to meet other Asian Minnesotans, learn new skills, gain knowledge about key issues impacting the community, and kick off civic engagement efforts ahead of the November 2022 elections. In the face of invisibility, erasure and violence, we will come together as a community to share space, deepen relationships and grow our collective power for a future where we can all thrive.
Through this year’s theme of Creating Community Constellations, we want to uplift a vision of community abundance and care. Inspired by the quote from Gloria Anzaldua: “We don’t want to be stars, but parts of constellations,” We believe we must boldly step into our brilliance as Asian Minnesotan leaders, while also illuminating the power found in our relationships with one another and our beloved communities.
Join us!
At CAAL, we believe leaders are anyone, regardless of position, who proactively wants to figure out how to grow their knowledge and connections and use their resources to work on issues that matter to the future of Asian Minnesotans.
This event is for you if you identify as Asian, live or spend time in Minnesota and are interested in connecting with fellow Asian Minnesotans and growing your leadership. Students are welcome! There will be a student track for high school and college students.
